People call our voicemail number 206 496 3116 and leave a message with their name, address, apartment number, city zip code and phone number. Calls are returned within 48 hours.
Calls are screened to determine if the person lives in Shoreline. Our database is searched to determine if we have helped this person and if that help was more than 12 months prior. Residents meeting the residency and prior help interval are called and an interview is scheduled for either in person or on the phone.
Interviews are generally conducted at or near the Berean Bible Church. If the client is qualified and deemed in need of our financial assistance, a check for up to $300 maximum is sent to the landlord or utility. The amount we send is based on availability of funds and projected number of clients we will be serving.
